After the recent launch of the Moto Z2 Play, Motorola is now gearing up for the launch of the Moto Z2, which is scheduled for June 27. And for quite sometime the smartphone has leaked and rumored online. And the most recent is the leaked listing of the Moto Z2 on a benchmarking website.
Quite similar to the previous leak on GeekBench, the latest leak on AnTuTu reveals almost identical details. According to the leak, the upcoming Moto Z2 will be powered by the new Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 paired with Adreno 540 GPU, which will be accompanied with 4GB of RAM, and 64GB of onboard storage. The device will run on Android 7.1.1 Nougat operating system, and will feature a Quad HD display with a resolution of 1440×2560 pixels. For photography, the leak reveals, the Moto Z2 will sport a 12-megapixel rear camera, and 5-megapixel sensor on the front.
An image that appears to a be a screenshot of the benchmarking app AnTuTu reveals that the phone will run the top-end Snapdragon 835 processor with 4GB RAM and 64GB storage. The phone will feature a Quad HD display with a resolution of 1440×2560 pixels. Like the recent Moto Z2 Play, it will come with stock Android 7.1.1 out of the box and may have a similar camera as well.
The screenshot just reveals a camera with 12-megapixel sensor and it could be the same camera Motorola has used on the G5 Plus and the Z2 Play. But it surely doesn’t come with dual cameras. At front it would use a 5 MP selfie shooter.
Further, recalling what the last leak on GeekBench revealed, the Moto Z2 achieved a single-core score of 1,879 and a multi-core score of 6,503. Similar to today’s leak, the smartphone was revealed running on Android 7.1.1 Nougat on the software front. Under the hood of the smartphone runs Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 835 octa-core processor clocked at 1.90GHz, paired with 4GB of Ram.
As for the design language on the Moto Z2 is concerned, the smartphone is believed to come with the same design as the original Moto Z, considering the Moto Mod compatibility purpose. In fact, an alleged render of the Moto Z2 had been leaked previously by Android Authority claiming to have received it from a reliable source.
